Beer-based spirit.Due to a batch that did not turn out how we wished, we would have had to throw away 40 kegs of our Hansebock (which was aged for 6 months in Chardonnay barrels and on orange peels and black pepper). To avoid this, we decided to destill these with our partner Drilling in Hamburg. As we did not simply want to create a boozy drink, we decided to again age in a barrel - this time mulberry tree - and infuse the drink with orange peels once more. This way we managed to conserve some of the flavours in our popular Hansebock and create a unique flavour profile. You can find all of our Barbarossa beers here – please note that availability is subject to change, as we produce in small batches. We produce all our beers in 0,33l and 0,75l, so you can decide on the best size for you. Only want to taste one of our beers? Then go for the smaller size. But the highlight are surely our big bottles – ideal for sharing or to acompany a nice meal. With the unique design festuring elements of the city of Hamburg on the labels and the accompanying cartons, our bottles also make for a great gift.
